Is blocking blogs justified?

India was an Information Technology super power, wait a minute did I say was and not is.....

Yes you read it right, and the politicians are adamant to prove it.

According to NDTV there is unconfirmed reports that Department Of Telecom has issued orders to ISP's to block some websites. And guess what the silly guys have ordered to block almost all the subdomains of blogspot.com

I can very well imagine how the decision would have been taken, few bunch of politicians and some bureaucrats would have gathered together and talked about the current security situation while having their favourite snacks and tea.

One of the politician would have suggested that we will block all the websites to stop the flow of information(of course the politician have never crossed his primary education), the most intelligent of them would have opposed the idea saying it won't be in India's interest to take such a step.

The politician would have got annoyed and transferred the officer to some other department and asked his/her PA to randomly note some websites and the PA would have said your wish is my command.

Once the list would have been ready the politician would have sent it to the concerned authority to block the sites. Ofcourse the poor ISP's would not waste their time explaining them the technical feasibility(read it their poor knowledge) of blocking some subdomains, etc and would have thought that it's better to just obey the orders.

The problem in India is majority of the politicians, bureaucrats are illiterate nuts and don't know the consequence of their decisions, take the classic example of former chief minister of Bihar Mrs. Rabri Devi(I think she don't need any introduction)....

One thing I would like to tell all the illiterate politicians, please go back to school or leave this country and allow the educated youth to takeover the responsibility of running the country.

i agree, most of the indian politicians are either uneducated or educated only on papers... look at the way they behave in assembly....

it will take 10-20 more years for India to be free from these nuts, until that we should enjoy them as jokers... by the way even i am a .net geek...
